About

Based just outside the city centre at the popular Meadowbank Shopping Centre found just off the A1, this Gala Bingo club is one of the largest in Scotland and is most definitely the biggest of all the Edinburgh bingo halls. There is plenty of car parking available and there are also good bus services running to the area that are frequent and run out of hours too. The best stop to use by bus is the Marionville Road stop for which you can take bus numbers 15, 19, 34 and X15. There are more buses running to the nearby Carlyle Place stop for which you can check the East Coast Buses website for more information.

Given that Meadowbank is pretty much Gala’s flagship bingo hall in Edinburgh you will find a real focus on customer service and making everyone feel welcome from locals to tourists alike. In fact, it is not uncommon to see as many tourists as locals and this is encouraged.

There is good food on offer from snacks to full-on pub-style meals and the bar is very well stocked and has regular special offers too. The gaming zone features all the latest arcade machines and slots to keep you entertained between games and you can of course visit the local shops and bars should you need even more to entertain you through the day.

Times

Gala Bingo Meadowbank is a lively place and has some of the latest opening times for bingo halls in Scotland. Open until 1am 7 days a week it opens at 10am Monday to Friday, 9am on Saturday and 12pm on Sunday.

Morning bingo starts at 11am daily except for Sundays when there is just afternoon and evening sessions on offer. Afternoon bingo tends to start at 1pm for main stage games and 12.25pm for the early game whilst evening main game bingo starts at 7.30pm daily.

Prices

Gala Bingo Meadowbank pricing is pretty much the same as other local Gala Bingo clubs and does not exploit its city centre location to hike prices up. Morning games are a little more expensive than rivals at £6 per game but with many afternoon sessions at just £2 and Sunday afternoon from just £1, there is plenty of value to be had. Evening games are £5 each day except for Monday and Thursday when you can play for just £2. All in all – excellent value for money!
