When a PayPal First Deposit Gets the Welcome Offer
Taking PayPal and paying a bonus on it are separate rules. Which sites accept a PayPal deposit for the welcome comes down to one line of the offer terms, so find it before you pay in.
The wording falls into four kinds.
- PayPal named as qualifying. Buzz Bingo‘s terms say a PayPal payment qualifies. It’s the plainest yes on this page.
- No method named. The welcome terms at Costa, Sing, Wink, MrQ and the Jumpman sites set a minimum deposit and leave the method open.
- PayPal excluded by name. Kitty and Lucky Pants rule out PayPal and Paysafe. Sun and Fabulous take debit cards only.
- “Certain deposit types excluded”. That’s the summary line in Ladbrokes‘ offer terms. The full terms behind it put PayPal on the list, next to Neteller, Paysafe and Skrill.
Mecca goes a step further. Its payments page says PayPal isn’t available for a first deposit at all, so the cashier makes the choice for you.
The Entain bingo sites write a similar exclusion into their welcome terms. Coral, Ladbrokes, Foxy and Gala all list PayPal among the new-account deposits that don’t qualify.
A silent welcome still isn’t the last word. The general terms at Costa, Sing and Wink let the site reduce or refuse a deposit bonus for “selected payment methods”, as set out in each promotion’s own terms. Those promotion terms are the ones to read.
How to Pay In with PayPal
To play bingo online with PayPal, pick PayPal in the cashier. You’re passed to PayPal to log in and approve the payment, then sent back with the balance topped up. Mecca, Kitty and Lucky Pants say PayPal deposits are credited as soon as they’re approved.
The money then buys bingo tickets and slot games like any other deposit. Nothing about the rooms changes.
Using PayPal comes with a few rules.
- It has to be your own account. MrQ’s terms rule out depositing through a business PayPal account.
- No credit card behind it. Sun’s terms ban a credit card used through an online payment service, and Mecca’s name PayPal as one. Fund PayPal from a debit card or bank account instead.
- Some sites charge. Costa, Sing and Wink add a processing fee to each PayPal transaction, whether it’s going in or coming out.
- Verify the PayPal account. The same three sites can hold a withdrawal for documents if you deposited from an unverified PayPal account.
Withdrawing Winnings to PayPal
Sites that let you use PayPal to deposit don’t all pay back to it.
Mecca, Kitty and Lucky Pants tick PayPal for deposits and withdrawals on their payments pages. All three say PayPal is enabled for Fast Withdrawals.
Costa, Sing and Wink list PayPal for both as well. Payouts are limited to methods that have already funded your account. Their withdrawal tables give PayPal a shorter completion time than a debit card.
Mirror, Daily Record and OK Bingo are the exception. Their terms list PayPal under deposits, and the withdrawal rules only mention your registered cards and bank account. Expect to cash out that way.
No Deposit Offers and PayPal
A no deposit offer takes no payment, so the method only matters once you fund the account. Buzz and MrQ both give sign-up spins before any deposit, and neither’s deposit terms exclude PayPal.
