About
Calrton Bingo Dalkeith has made its home in an old theatre on Buccleuch Street. There is a bus stop by the library which is practically opposite the club and this serves the likes of Mayfield, Musselburgh and Gorebridge. If you drive, the car park in St Andrew Street is free to use after 6 pm which is handy for the evening sessions. If you are coming for the afternoon games, you can expect to pay £3-£4 to park depending on how long you stay at the club.
The venue itself is much smaller than the larger national chains such as Mecca, however, it can still easily seat 300 at a time, creating a great atmosphere and resulting in some decent in-house prizes being up for grabs.
Bingo is the main attraction and games can be played either in the traditional paper format or electronically on the tablets. These games are complemented by a range of fruit machines that can be enjoyed at any time from open until close, and there is also a bar that serves both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks alongside a variety of snacks and freshly cooked meals.

Regular promotions help keep things exciting at the club. These can include anything from free bingo tickets and reduced-price games, to super-sized prize nights, plus they also host a number of special events throughout the year which are great for socialising. Carlton Bingo Dalkeith is closed on Monday and Thursday. The club opens from 11 am on Saturday, midday on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and from 5 pm on Sunday. Closing time is at 10 pm daily.
The only morning session is played on Saturday at 11.45 am.
In the afternoons (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday) the Early games get underway at 1 pm and are followed at 2 pm with the Main Event. The evening Earlies begin at 6.50 pm with the Mains starting at 7.30 pm.
Prices
Early sessions are charged at £2 on paper and from £3 on the tablets.
Paper prices in the afternoons are £12 on weekdays and £14 on Saturdays with electronic prices set at £15 on weekdays and £20 on Saturdays.
In the evenings you can expect to pay £14 on paper and £20 for the touchpads.
